actually they do let anyone in. all you have to do to become a naturalized US citizen is fill out some paper work and remember a few basic facts about the country. lets not act like it takes any brains to live in this country.

We scrutinize potential immigrants to see what value they bring to the country and we only let a certain number in.

So many taxi drivers are from India here, the great majority. Well guess what... a lot of those guys used to be lawyers, doctors, businessmen in their home countries... we have high standards for immigrants here.

Kinda sucks they stuck driving a cab but that's because having Indian law and medical degrees does not allow them to practice in this country. Just like having an Indian driver's licence does not allow you to drive here.
