lana sounds better remixed, the music on her officially released album is totally flaccid for the most part. I mean I like a song or two but quite honestly you all have the most limited taste in music the way you praise her to the ****ing heavens for making cliche somber torch ballads as if you've never heard that type of music before her. its all about her look, she looks cool, if it wasn't for the look none of you would give a **** because the music itself is fine at best and 100% beige at worst.

to be honest i'd enjoy her a little more if it weren't for her annoying following acting like shes up there with chan marshall and fiona apple or some ****. i mean jesus. you're all as obnoxiously and delusionally annoying about lana del rey as you were about lady gaga 6 years ago. shes nothing more than fine.

Okay, she didn't have to like the remix but nonetheless that was a little rude. And to some extent she should be grateful, it turned out to be great exposure for her.

It's true her style is a HUGE part of her appeal; I don't think anyone is denying that. Lana is (whilst some may disagree) a pop-star with an alternative edge. But it's the same with everyone else, Rihanna, Gaga, Beyoncé; it's their brand that makes them who they are, not just the music; so I don't see why your penalising Lana for it? I mean, compared to everyone else in the game, Lana seems like a Pop girl who genuinely seems to care about her craft, and would much rather put out music she likes as opposing to chasing up Luke and Martin for a big summer hit.

And some of her stuff; in my humble opinion, is really rather good. It's catchy, it's somber, it's moody and it SCREAMS atmosphere. Her music, her voice and her whole aura just makes me gush; superficial or not - I don't see why that's a bad thing. Pop stars and superficial nonsense go hand in hand.

I'm happy to be entertained by the illusion of substance; regardless of whether or not it's actually there.

It's the other way around. Cedric should be greatful to Lana. Lana was already very famous before Summertime Sadness, whilst Cedric was a nobody (I only knew Cedric from before because Tyga and Wiz Khalifa had a hit using a sample of his song Molly).
