Disappointing. Drag is rooted in farce- "the irreverent" is what it's all about. Sad that these dour, social justice warriors have to rain on the parade of a show designed to flip this entire intolerant attitude on its head. Why can't they grasp that subtlety? Drag Race is OBVIOUSLY on their side.
Both Our Lady J and Sonique, transwomen, have spoken that they are not offended and upset that it;s being removed, so enough of this "the trans community is offended" nonsense. It had nothing to do with trans people and that's that.
BUT, this season we've seen a transgendered piano player, and last night with Chaz they talked about his transition and showed him in a very positive light and showed one of the queens saying he was cute, and not showing that "EW it's an it" thing that most shows showing trans people do. But where are the people saying good things about that? Where's Carmen saying how happy she is that they do that? No, she wants to complain about a 2 second phrase, that is a drag queen term, referring to drag queens, has nothing to do with trans people, and no one thinks of as "Hahah trans people suck." Smh at people always focusing on the negative
