I'm so conflicted. In one sense, I don't want them to make another movie and have it just be pure and utter horse ****. But at the same time, I don't care I just want another movie. No Scream 4 wasn't great and at times it got a little bit TOO goofy for my liking (that beginning was just a tad overkill but I still liked it.) It was still definitely better than 3.
I think the problem is that as they went along, they hired someone else to rewrite Kevin Williamson's script and that is just a no. The new writer tried to be blatantly funny, whereas the other two were more subtle with their humor. I think that was what brought down the series.
I'm really nervous about this TV show and I have a feeling it's going to be kind of lame. But then I don't want them to start the show and then make a fifth one and have this weird overlap thing between the show and the Sidney Prescott story.
Scream is my favorite movie of all time so I'm really all over the place with my thoughts on this.
Scream4 just wasn't a big hit so yeah, why continue. It would probably destroy the brand and I looooove Scream4. It's a perfect end for me tbh.
Now about the TV show, I still don't see how this will work, except if they have a new story line every season or so but I'm still excited about it tbh.
