You're seeing the moon disappearing which is the Partial Eclipse. The moon won't turn red for about another 45 minutes or so which is during the Total Eclipse.

You might be able to see it if you look to your west in about 30-45 minutes. No guarantees, though.

Only a small chunk of Australia is gonna see it.

There's a map in the first post, but IDK if you'll be able to see it. I know that a lot of Asia won't see it at all, but I'm not sure about Australia.
