Ugh I'm so pressed she didn't stick with the stadium-rocking glam pop style she had sonically during BTW. So 80s, so brilliant.

Her next album determines if she's here to stay or if she's gone forever.

We said this about ARTPOP but this time it's more critical. I'm still gonna be a fan though no matter what, I can't abandon everything she's given us for the last 5 years.

I really hope so. She definitely has it in her. Brooklyn Nights sounds more honest than majority of ARTPOP, sans Dope and Gypsy. I'm not really big on BN, but lyrically it speaks louder than 98% of ARTPOP.

I wish she would just release relatable, honest material and let her art speak without her telling the audience how to perceive her art.

Probably the latter unless she fires her current people (keep Inez and Vinoodh tho

) and hires talented people again. TF/TFM was not just her doing, Dada/Nicola/Boomkack/Troy/RedOne/Billy B and other talented makeup artists/professional directors/etc made those eras as big as they were.

I really don't care that Gaga isn't #1, but it is frustrating knowing she is capable of releasing better material. GUY is a masterpiece of a video and truly encompasses everything the era should have been. However the material of the album isn't as next level as she hyped it up to be, and even then...it is kind of basic

It is catchier than BTW, but I have to admire BTW for being ahead. I actually think BTW would do just fine today. The album is relatable. If she were able to execute the album properly then it could have been her best one.
