Which generation has the better selection of horror movies?

2010's has some underrated gems like Cabin in the Woods but the 80's and 90's teen slasher craze was amazing

etc.

80s. it was the generation of the iconic slasher films. Halloween, The Shining, The Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street. some of the best horror films.

The 70s/80s are more scary and realistic than the current movies now.

The 80s had Freddy Krueger

The older, the scarier.

Nowadays there seem to be few iconic horror movies most of them are low-quality, unmemorable and crass...

When we gonna get more ICONIC movies like Elm Street or Friday the 13th? Or the next Psycho or the Excorcist?

Stuff like "Saw" are simply terrible, terrible movies...

I think the lo-fi technology of that era is what adds to the creepiness.

The 90s.

Definitely not the 10's. It seems like they all revolve around paranormal activities and demons.

The Cabin In The Woods is definitely a highlight of modern horror movies, everything about it is clever & brilliantly done.

But I do love a 90's slasher movie tbh.
