Aww, poor boy. I like to think the reason he didn't show up is because he stayed up all night with Austin just talking with him and comforting him because Austin couldn't sleep due to anxiety. Then he ended up sleeping through his court hearing.
It makes it sound precious when you put it into that perspective.
