I love Beyoncé, and this thread is not intended to shade her in any way. But ATRL obsesses over Beyoncé to the point where I don't even enjoy stanning for her because she gets shoved into my face so often. ATRLers call her "the voice of our generation" and whatever, but I don't understand how that's possible when there are so many other vocalists right now with better voices than her — Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, and Adele all come to mind. Beyoncé's voice is amazing, but am I the only who feels like ATRL overestimates her as a person, a vocalist, and an artist?

She's celebrated because even after 17 years, she's still slaying.
If she didn't have the talent, she wouldn't last this long. You have to admire her longevity.

Okay... From what I've seen, most of ATRL hates Adele because her album sold more than their faves', and I don't think Katy is that overrated. People on ATRL constantly praise Teenage Dream for being a pop masterpiece and whatever, but Katy's singles aren't even as talked about as Beyoncé is on this forum.
Yes. Her album sales have slowed down tremendously and won't go too much farther since the material is not really radio-friendly and caters to a more limited audience. She is doing well with touring though
