West Coast by miles. Better vocals, production, lyrics etc. Fresh and different. Applause sounds like Gaga wanted to make a generic electro-pop song while trying to imitate David Bowie. It is just not working.

These 2 songs are not comparable in any way, even if both songs were released at the same time and Lana and Gaga tweeted "which song do u like more"

applause is catchier and on another level , WC is too laid back and gloomy for me the it made me feel depressed from the first listen :dadbanana: So Applause WITHOUT A DOUBT

Of course Applause is better in every possible way, it still sounds so fresh and amazing.
