This week it sold like 400k+ and this theard numbers (3.11m or something) is the right one(at least from buth sources).

if my link's number are from last week that means Leona sold 400k this week,which definetly didnt happen.
I think the original poster may be using the Billboard chart dates for his/her figures, not the January 1st calendar date hence some confusion.
For instance Leona's total sales are now approximately 4.06m, but it was only released before January 1st in the UK and Ireland where it sold 1.6m in 7 weeks - if you add on the 2.811m figure that gives 4.411m which is too much. However if you move her sixth and seventh week sales (the last two weeks of the year) from 2007's figures into 2008's figures the maths works.

according to IFPI Spirit officialy sold 2 million copies before Jauary the 1st 2008 WW(well it was only released in the UK & Ireland so the sales or based on those 2 countries)

It sold 1.55m in the UK as certified by the Official Chart Company and Irish sales would have been between 50k and 100k so can't see the IFPI figure being right. Perhaps it's the amount shipped?

it sold 105k+ here in ireland certified by IRMA so the exact figure will be close to 1.7million.it could be shipments,but it does say"best selling" though lol.well whichever one it is..IFPI definetly arent wrong.
What's the problem with Duffy, I think she's very talented Mercy is one of the best songs that I really enjoyed in this year and Rockferry is a great album pretty much closer to Back to Black, I lvoe Duffy's voice I'll see her with at least one grammy in the next year.
