It's not just the font though. It's everything, including the bad photoshopping. I swear her friend made this on photoshop. I've made things on photoshop before, and when you're working on it for so long, you fix its flaws, and because it looks better than a previous version of it, you think it's great, is really improved and fail to see it with fresh eyes. I think that's what went wrong here. Gaga was too involved in the making of the album cover, and kept seeing it get better, but failed to see it with fresh eyes. It's actually so bad. The Born This Way single cover should have been the album cover. In fact the deluxe edition was just meant to be the same photo, but with a different coloured background. Then when they saw the public's reaction to the cover, they cropped it so it was just her face, and the deluxe edition cover became known as "the normal cover" because the damage-control was so bad. I swear like an hour after it was released Rihanna tweeted "I cannot stop laughing, is this serious" or something like that. It was never confirmed but I swear it was about the BTW cover. Everyone was tweeting "guys! Calm down! It's a fake!" and then she uploaded a photo of her holding the album booklet, with her lace-up boots and Judas nails on, and everyone was like "Oh...my...god...I think the cover might be serious..."

Not you coming for my fave covers. Dx I think the Lotus cover is awful and I hate that you can see her snatch (well, where it would be) if you tilt it.

@ 2:00. It was meant to be a "different fabrication of the same image" which ultimately it was. But it ended up being a crop/extreme close-up of her face, because the motorcycle picture and the cheap font were so poorly received. It was initially meant to be the same image with a white, gold or red background. The release of the deluxe edition cover a few days later was serious damage control. You cannot deny that this is one of the single worst album covers of all time.
