I don't hate Selena but it's clearly Hilary. Here's the receipts.
- So Yesterday and Come Clean both were both #1 on Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales (which doesn't exist anymore) but it couldn't reach a higher position on Billboard due to lack of airplay.
- She may not have big selling hits like Selena but she has pretty much some iconic songs like Come Clean, So Yesterday, Wake Up and Fly.
- Her movie career was much more sucessful than Selena's. I mean she has Lizzie McGuire Movie, Agent Cody Banks, Cheaper by the Dozen 1 & 2, A Cinderella Story, Raise Your Voice, The Perfect Man and Material Girls.. And don't forget the good sis Cadet Kelly, Casper Meets Wendy, War, Inc. and Beauty and the Briefcase.
- Lizzie McGuire is more remembered than Wizards and it ended in 2004.
- Hilary has sold 15 million solo albums plus the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack (platinum), Lizzie McGuire Movie (2x platinum), A Cinderella Story (700k).
- She was on Law & Order: SVU, Gossip Girl, Community, Raising Hope, Two and a Half Men, Frasier and others.
- Three books (two were New York Times Best Seller)
- Perfumes and Stuff by Hilary Duff.
- She won a World Music Award for Best Selling New Female Artist.
And anyway, Hilary is one of Selena's inspirations so.. no hate!
