Hmmm. I think y'all are missing the point. It's not gonna be a long battle and trial like a real court. It's just having the ability to have a different moderator reverse your WP. A mod who dishes the WP is inherently biased and leans towards not reversing it because it's like admitting you are wrong/you made a mistake etc. Separating the roles would minimize that bias? You get? The way we request reversals doesn't have to change
Actually, that sounds like an amazing idea. Super simple too! Why aren't we doing this already?
Hmm.. it sounds kind of exciting I guess. Though I'm not sure how that would actually work, it sort of undermines the moderator's power by those few 'court members' if they can just reverse WP.
I said no mention of any electoral system in particular
I simply refer to the fact that I would either be an "Executive/Legislative" moderator or a"Judicial" one - it's like making it a bicameral legislature, kinda. Why would I be here for that when it can be a one-house, one party system?
I agree, the fact that only the original mod can reverse a WP makes absolutely no sense. There should be a more balanced process that also keeps the warned user informed on the status of the appeal.

Yess. You get the idea!

Those who relish power seek to possess it indefinitely and rarely wish to relinquish it!

That's the whole point. The mods are too powerful, we need safeguards from corruption
