Music News: Lily Allen dedicates "Sheezus" to Amy Winehouse

She couldn’t do anything or go anywhere without there being a frenzy; and she was all about life and enjoying herself and socialising, and when that’s taken away from you… she was a prisoner.’ Allen thinks about this. The problem with Amy, she says, was that ‘she was too damn interesting for her own good’.
Did Allen ever feel she might have been heading along the same destructive path?
‘I’m too much of a control freak. I think I’m maybe better equipped at knowing when I need help and being able to ask for that. And I’ve got two children and a husband.’

Not really. It's not as though Amy was only about alcohol. And Lily probably knew her beyond the media's image of her, which is what you are basing your assumption on.

I think that's really nice of Lily though, I wonder how her family will react to that. I wonder if there's a song on the record about her.

She always made Amy seem higher than her even when she was alive.

This reminds me of when Katy Perry got famous in 2008, someone asked her in an interview how she'd describe herself, and Katy said "I'm like a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a thinner version of Lily Allen" and I remember Lily getting annoyed by that comment lol.
