Is 2014 in your opinion doing good for the start of NEW MUSIC/Mainstream stream music?

And let say some of the END of 2013 MUSIC.

If we're being technical most of the songs slaying at the moment are from last year.

Well it's off to a okay start. My favorite album remains to be Pulses and I was pretty impressed by Shakira.. Kiss Me Once was also decent. I expected Skrillex's new album to be better but overall it's off to a okay of a start. Oh and the singles are all pretty good from Iggy Azalea to JLo to Lily Allen.

It's already better than last year.

2013 was a great year for pop music that reset expectations after a so-so 2012. I say it's too early to decide whether 2014 is 'better' because almost all of the songs that are currently popular are from 2013.

Eh, about the same as last year imo.

I have a bunch of albums i love already. Even my least favourite album of the year is good.

Imo, yeah. There have been some pretty solid releases so far, and there are a lot of upcoming albums I'm excited for. I think 2014 is shaping up to be just about on par with 2013 in terms of music releases - and 2013 was a great year.

It's been pretty bland thus far.

I still have yet to hear an album I like, but I have hope for Lily Allen and Sam Smith.
