Childhood specifically (so like before I was, say, 13) I would say:

JumpStart games were always my favorite part of the end of the year. I guess my school had an agreement where they'd hand out free demos of the game for kids to have for like a week, but my dad would always burn us a copy so we could have it forever.
I used to play the Clue PC game, but the "suggestion" scenes used to scare me so bad I had to leave the room
