Beyoncé is a woman who has built a brand on her name. Why does branding your image and believing in the core values of feminism have to be two mutually exclusive things?

This is why a lot of women don't relate to and discuss feminism because there's such a narrow perspective of only the bra burning, picket sign holding breed of feminists and that can be the ONLY way to earnestly have and promote certain beliefs of feminism and that's just not true.

Which is precisely my point. No, Beyoncé is not that type of woman and people question the validity of her beliefs of female social and economic equality and power because of this type cast of feminists. People feel as if that's the only proper way to be a feminist and women that don't fit that mold can't be true believers in feminist values.
