I'm a brand new Indie artist and I've been wondering on how to build a buzz and get notice from my music, not just on the Internet, but in my very own city. Obviously in order to get noticed by a Record Label, you have to have a buzz in your city. For example, if you have a huge buzz in Los Angeles, Capital Records will notice your buzz and fanbase. They'll definitely wanna sign you. But the question here is HOW? How do you build a buzz in your hometown? The type of music I make is Rap-Pop. I'm brand new, so my fanbase is really weak. I already know how to promote on the Internet, I have connections with Hip-Hop/Pop Blogs and Online Radio Stations plus there's YouTube, Twitter, Facebook. so that's easy for me. It's just the STREETS that I need a buzz from. Reason why I'm asking on here is cause I know there's ATRLers on here who are artists who have trouble with this and this can help them, plus you guys know all about promo lol
Also I have been told to just focus on creating singles to build a buzz, then once the buzz is there, release an album or EP. But how do you build a buzz lol
