ia. I mean, the Stars Dance era came to an abrupt halt for whatever reason and is yet to be surpassed by DEMI. That alone says enough in my honest opinion. And if I'm not mistaken, it did sell more than CBT in the US, a major market. All Selena needs to do is release something and it'll stir things up again. The album deserves more attention but Selena is a **** **** and just decided to end the era

CBT is my favorite Miley album and deserved all the success that Bangerz had, but unfortunately, her serious attempt at an an adult career did not catch on. CBT was hyped and received similar coverage to WCS because of controversy but it just wasn't meant to be. As previously mentioned, WTSGD ended up coming out on top albums-wise in each of their respective third eras, so that's more relevant than the contenders in this thread. Every artist has their flop eras.

If Demi's second single didn't flop then DEMI would've outsold Stars Dance

Considering Miley only got one single, I'm gonna go with the DEMI because all of the singles she's had and has still barely passed Can't Be Tamed's numbers she should be at least gold

With 3 single eras, 4 soon.. I'm gonna use YOUR logic here and say that if Selena released a third one Demi wouldn't even be close.

That's kind of even worse then considering she only got one single and Demi and Selena had 2/3 yet they're both still around her numbers despite having those bigger lead singles

How is that my logic? I said If Demi's second single was successful aka they chose a good song then her sales would be near gold by now.

Stars Dance was selling 3k-4k more than DEMI weekly even though it had a hit single while Demi didn't have any single during September and October

you really have no excuse of DEMI selling more since it had less promotion and had a flop single and apparently less successful singles right.

But you release singles to promote the album so just because if flopped doesn't mean it can be excused for not selling the album

DEMI and Stars Dance had 2x more single sales, 2x more airplay, 2x more online views and their album sales are in the same realm as CBT That speaks volumes for the CBT era if she actually released a second single.
CBT also had a sucessful tour so yeah. I'd say Stars Dance was the biggest flop since it had tons of promo, radio support, a hit single, etc. (among other things CBT lacked) only to be matched with CBT's numbers.

but if nobody buys the single then obviously it's not doing a good job at promoting the album

Undercover, Stars Dance, LWR should have been released over Slow Down imo and would have sold the album more, that's not a legitimate argument, that's not what happened. You can't say "if she released blah blah then she would have maybe done better", that could work for any artist.

She released MITUSA, and that's reality.

My point is, it was still released, promoted and had a video. So it all goes back to what I said just because it flopped doesn't mean it can be excused for not selling the album
