I am very open minded tyvm, but it's a proven fact that those who listen to gay icons are 99.9% of the time gay.

When I went to a Christian private school, I got accused by a straight guy that my iPod had "gay" music on it simply because it had a bunch of girl artists on it.

Then when I started stanning for Kelly in high school (public school), no one had any idea or accused me of being gay when I openly stanned for Kelly. I think it's because she's known for rockier songs like Since U Been Gone, and if people were to ask me why I like her, I would say I love breakup songs, I love a rock sound, and I love a woman's singing voice and hers is exceptional. The last reason is something that they probably interpreted as "straight" because it sounds like I had an attraction to girls. While, what I said was true, I was still gay.

Very few people suspect me of being gay until I come out to them, even with my music taste.

I just tell people that my music taste is gay myself. I've heard it before too though. Everyone secretly stans for some songs though. So it's fine. They can stay pressed.

In high school, I had and still have most of Xtina's discography on my iPhone, but no one ever really gave me crap for it. Then again, I don't exclusively listen to pop girls and a lot of the female artists I have on my phone aren't really considered "gay" to listen to.

I have honestly never had this issue because my taste in music is so eclectic. If I like a song it's because it's a good song, and my friends or people around understood that and never questioned it. I've always been into the entertainment industry so people also found it "cool" that I was so informed and diverse.

I will say I don't know many people, straight or not, that don't have at least a few Katy and Rihanna songs on their iPod. What makes it different is that I have 70+ Katy songs
