The Final Destination stages are a great idea. They put a lot of thought in this game.

So are Squirtle and Ivysaur coming back, or is it just going to be Charizard this time?

While I think it's nice that they tried to make the game more hardcore and competitive like fans of Melee wanted, I wish they kept the pacing of Brawl instead. Brawl>>>Melee, and I'm not sorry

I also think Greninja was an amazing inclusion. People wanted a ninja/humanoid-esque Pokemon ever since Blaziken came out. Blaziken would have just been Ganondorf/Captain Falcon 2.0, so Greninja is a great idea.

I'm not here for ZSS losing her whip, though, and hfd they screw up Zelda like this.

I'm not crazy about Charizard. He was essentially a slightly faster Bowser in the last game. If he takes Queen Jiggly's place

Also I think all the Pokemon released from the balls at the beginning of his trailer were all the ones that will be found in the game Jiggly wasn't there so there is still hope!

How so? Charizard is able to fly, making his recovery better than Bowser's. His aerial game also exceeds Bowser's as well. It's not just a faster Bowser.

I live for those introduction clips every time they have a new character on the roster. The Charizard/Greninja intro almost outdoes the Rosalina intro for me.

He was just so sluggish to play as Most people preferred playing as Ivysaur and Squirtle compared to him.

I hope this comes out in July or something, not here for an early September release which is technically summer.

I'm afraid greninja will feel similar to lucario. They're body structure and movement are similar.

I thought they would make a fairy type playable, I'm happy with greninja as long as he plays well. Wouldn't be shocked if pokemon and Zelda both got one extra character though.

Meganium and Venusaur are the only ones I know (with Venusaur being my favorite, by far), but the snake would probably be the best inclusion. It would be a completely new body type and SSB4 desperately needs that.

Venusaur seems likely, but it'd just be weird if they decided to include only two out of three of the Gen I starters. Like, Charizard, Venusaur and... Greninja? Idk, just kind of rubs me the wrong way.

I wouldn't count on Serperior. It'd be too hard to create a moveset for it due to its body type. Keep in mind most of the characters' animations are based on bipedal movement (though there are some who move on all fours), so implementing a snake- like character would be a challenge to say the least. Plus, I'm no programmer, but I have to imagine that coding its hitbox would be an absolute nightmare.

Meganium isn't nearly popular enough to merit a character slot.

Chesnaught would be an okay choice, but again, why would they include two of the starters from a single gen without including the third one?

So I guess the most likely candidate for a grass-type starter would be... Torterra or Sceptile? I think Sceptile's more likely.

I can definitely see Sceptile on this game and I would LIVE for it. The best Grass starter.

I'll miss Ivysaur though, he is such a slayage with ha iconic vine whip.

I do like the Pokemon series, but I am still expecting Jigglypuff and from the looks of it we'll be receiving a final evolution of a grass-started as well, plus a chance of Mewto.

All we need is Jigglypuff. If she is cut then there will be BACKLASH.

Ganondorf, Wario, Ness, Captain Falcon, and Meta Knight are definitely returning. Total of characters that have already been confirmed plus these 5 would bring the roster count total to 34. I'm anticipating 40-45 characters in the end.
