I HATE when people criticize public assistance and act like people are living like Kings and Queens just because they receive a few dollars to help them out (and many times prevent them from being homeless). like they are clearly having a hard time in life

I don't mind public assistance, it's just really annoying when you see people taking advantage of it. They may not be living like kings and queens but a lot of them become comfortable with that lifestyle- which is NOT okay. As someone who works and pays taxes, I don't want to see my money going towards helping support someones laziness.
Again, I don't mind my money going towards helping a homeless person getting on their feet, a single mom who just lost her job or a struggling college student; as long as they are actually using the money intelligently. but if you're one of those people that collect like three sources of funding a month and have no intentions of ever getting a job or bettering yourself..
piss off.
(I'm kinda getting off the topic of food stamps here
)
In regards to the new title: yes. I think drug screening should be just one of the many tests implemented. I think the entire public assistance/welfare system needs to be much more strict and monitored.

Precisely.
