It is an odd list though, but they're obviously just not talking about sales here (that's the brain dead pop music junkie's of ATRL's forté), since many singles in recent years with great success will fail to stand the test of time, considering they were never influential or made much of a cultural impact. A lot of hit singles are just fads, and I think Bey tries to at least make her singles timeless classics, with a few exceptions like Baby Boy and Check On It, both of which are dated as hell.

Well, it's definitely classic, but I don't think it aged well.
It does get a fair amount of Recurrent airplay though, considering it's getting as much of it as songs that are 2 years old when it's 11 years old.

After Video phone a bunch of other pop/R&B girls started getting really raunchy while rapping on hip hop-electro songs. Run the World is iconic and Diplo did get to work with other major artists after the song. The song made quite a statement and everyone started talking about women's rights again after it came out. Single Ladies influenced the dance world more than anything.
