Beyoncé was obviously inspired by Rihanna's sound. Not like Rihanna's sound is groundbreaking but she took it to the mainstream market and got known for it along with her fashion style.
XO was a poor attempt of a Diamonds alternative sound. But Teddy failed this time, I blame it on Beyoncé and her sinus-infected vocals.
