Starships is a pop masterpiece in which Nicki Minaj discusses such controversial topics as racism, sexism, homophobia, and other social issues. And this was all before the rise of social justice warriors on the internet... Nicki Minaj promoted the equality of all and packaged it into a fun, infectious dance anthem that will be played for the next decade, if not century. A package that now most people would prefer over annoying Tumblr rants.
Without her efforts, the feminist movement as well as the LGBT movement and civil rights moment would have been set back hundreds, maybe thousands of years. Starships is credited as inspiring the likes of Martin Luther King Jr., Harvey Milk, Rosa Parks, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her sister Lupita, and the rapper behind "Throw that Boy *****".

If base were a drag bar:
Willy would be the owner, a truly professional queen that the rest get hair and makeup tips from.
Red would be Willy's older friend that harshly tells the younger queens when their wig, padding and makeup are bad.
Nas would be the star that headlines and closes out big shows.
Neonika and Beez would be the potheads that are kept around for their hookups.
slw would be the lonely older guy who spends most nights of the week at the bar getting hammered, and whose address we have memorized because of how many times we've had to take him home.
Jessica would be the faghag that some of the queens use as an example of how to look like a real woman.
Aura would be the performer that gives lapdances for tips.
Hollister and Flare would be the angry, flamboyant queens that have been trying to get on RuPaul's for the past 3 seasons.
ririfan would be the one that performs because it's the only job he can get.
MMMinaj would be the one cringing at the other queens and apologizing to customers for their mess.

Also a long story.
Well, actually it is much shorter.
But, I prefer being vague and mysterious like the good sis Onika so you'll more than likely never find out why.
