It's so current. It saddens me to think it's probably just going to be an album track. You can tell it inspired Blurred Lines, Blow by Beyonce and all of Pharrell's recent work. That's where pop music is heading. Mixed-beat RnB that's timelessly disco-inspired and can be enjoyed by all generations. Very MJ imo.

In saying that, Rihanna's girlishly high vocal range is perfect for EDM. No one in the game has a voice better for EDM than Rihanna.





Like Cain said, the EDM scene don't really associate with pop music or pop culture. They're much more into popping Molly and music festival culture. However they do love female vocalists. Particularly ones with a high vocal range, and a voice that's really girly, but still flirty and sexy.

That's why Rihanna has been able to cross over into EDM so seamlessly. In fact, she's crossed-over into so many genres with such ease...rock, rnb, pop, EDM, reggae, dancehall, urban, trap....she's amazing.

Children movies song are a hit with Oscar actually. I doubt she will win but the nominations is very possible.

All of us know the movie will probably be "goodISH" but facts are she still releasing an album for it and having multiple albums out isn't something Rihanna can manage, she can't even deal 2 singles. Also Bruno is on tour which is why he isn't doing anything and he only has like 1 song on the album. (Which was never promoted as Bruno's album) Dreamworks will try and get some nominations and for that actors and musicians for on an Oscar campaign.

This could also be Rihanna's reason to leave DJ actually.

Rihanna only has a management deal with Roc Nation not distribution which is what DJ does for her. Kinda like how Bey manages herself but Columbia distribute the albums.

Didn't Janelle Monae perform her song from Rio 2 on American Idol recently? It's becoming less and less unusual for studios to invest in the musical aspect of their children's movies.

Beyond that, Bruno Mars wasn't the star of Rio 2. He just did a song for their soundtrack.

Dreamworks is mentioning Rih in their financial reports and at their presentations to hype people up. There's no way she won't be a major part of their promotion. They'll definitely be taking advantage of her starpower.
