There's not a stigma per say. The whole thing is that they (and Nicki included) don't like her Pop music discrediting her abilities in rapping (which it always does). You can bring that back to the lyrics of Starships, but that was a song that had to be dumbed down to begin with, and the dumbed down verses make it even more catchier.
