Jesus taught first and foremost about love. God is love and he made us perfect the way we are. I don't believe God would have a problem with any one of his creations, regardless of gender/color/etc, loving each other if it was really someone they felt committed to. There's too many hypocrites in Christianity that like to throw stones from a glass house.
