i have always hated certain police officers, and this video is a perfect indication of why. The utter smugness over their puny positions, thinking that their badge entitles them to be overlords of justice. Sure, a lot of police officers are great people, but I have met way too many that are just as barbaric and arrogant as the one here

Breaux admitted the two were using profane language, but said “it wasn’t to the point that we were loud and disturbing people,” reports NOLA.com.

The unnamed neighbor allegedly walked out of his house and told the men to watch their language. Following a brief verbal fight, the neighbor said he was going to call the cops.

A Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived on the scene, allegedly speaking with the neighbor first before approaching and arresting Breaux.

Breaux claims that another officer, who arrived on the scene, was also a friend of the neighbor’s.

“These are personal friends,” Breaux said to NOLA.com. “I wish I had friends that I could call and have them handle personal vendettas that I have with my neighbors.”

Breaux was booked on the counts of battery of a police officer, resisting arrest with violence, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

arresting a guy for his friend?

edit: to be honest, I don't think this is as much a race issue as it is a visual example of what douchebags some police officers are. They have been rude and obnoxious to me too (for no good reason), and I'm not a minority.

doubt that's going to happen.

+ this guy who is recording the video will probably get into trouble. It's illegal in most states to record police officers, especially if you are not party to charges. +, I checked Louisiana state laws (where they are from) and it is illegal to electronically record ANYONE without consent. So if the police officers wanted to be vindictive, which I suspect they will want to, they can file civil and criminal charges against this guy's friend.

clearly laws that were made to protect police offers. I mean police officers have basically been on criminal payrolls forever. behind the scenes and off.
