You Need To Watch This Video, But Its Ending Will Disturb You
Quote:
She greets the morning, shops and meets a friend. It is the cheeriest of days that we watch through her Google Glass. But that changes when she returns home.
In a dramatized PSA (below) highlighting domestic violence ahead of International Women's Day, March 8, our heroine must serve a grim tagline: "Despite all our progress, women see this everyday."
According to DomesticViolence.org, one in three women globally has been abused. In the United States alone, a woman is "assaulted or beaten" every 9 seconds.
(AdWeek notes that Google played no part in the video.)
I'd completely forgotten what I was watching halfway through. That ending was very upsetting.
I'm confused as to what their call to action is. Is it just "awareness"?
Well the video is pretty shocking and it left me thinking... So I guess it served its purpose. Not some people on the comments of the video complaining why the chick in the video is white tho ;_ ;
I was really happy during the start and then the guy was there and I was still happy and then suddenly he bashes the Google Glass and I jumped and was shocked
I knew something was gonna happen the way she said "you're home early"
You can tell by the tone of someone's voice that something is wrong. Still I was not really ready for that.
