Not only had she herself become an egomaniacal monster herself, she backed herself into a niche by identifying herself exclusively with the LGBT community.
Alejandro and I know most will disagree with me but I still think that was the very beginning. That was the first time there was a strong negative reaction to something she had put out and the cracks began to show. And Alejandro wasn't as big a hit as the singles before it. Even when BTW (the song) first came out, people had a negative reaction to that saying that it wasn't original and made fun of her for hyping it up so much. Then the BTW video came out and people hated that. Judas flopping fasttracked what had already slowly been happening.
I agree it has to be the BTW era. But at the time it wasn't evident. It became so evident that she's fading when she decided to release DWYW over Venus
