If alcohol, which is much worse for a person and kills millions of people every year and destroys people's lives, isn't illegal then why on earth should weed be. Give me one good reason. I don't smoke weed and never have but I really don't see a reason for it to be illegal. Plus all these people getting arrested for marijuana related "crimes" is taking up space in jails and taking focus off of people that are actually committing crimes.

So what? So is deadly nightshade.

It is, by definition, a drug. That's not even remotely subjective or arguable. It shouldn't be illegal, but not all drugs are. You sound like one of those people who say things like "I don't want any chemicals in my food"

No it's not? what does that even mean? You realize, too, that modern cannabis has been selectively bred (aka changed by man) to reach the point it's at, and you realize that grinding and setting light to this plant is entirely unnatural?
I actually
agree cannabis shouldn't be illegal, but you have no idea what you're saying.
Just because something is "natural" doesn't make it good or virtuous and just because something is the product of man doesn't make it evil or harmful.

You're mostly right about this. Like, it's sure as hell not healthy for you, and people who claim sustained regular use has no harmful side effects whatsoever don't know what they're talking about, but it's fairly harmless as a recreational drug. And yes, druggies who start with cannabis and move on to coke/meth/crack would have ended up there anyway.

This is a flawed argument that I wish people wouldn't use. Just saying "A is bad and legal, B is less bad so it should also be legal" doesn't really make sense because the obvious comeback is "since B is still bad let's not let it become ingrained in our culture like A has". There are far more compelling arguments to legalise weed than this.

This is all true.
