It doesn't matter to them how much Carrie ranks in tbh. Kelly is somehow more relevant and more popular to them.
However, when was the last time Kelly had a #1 album or did a headlining arena tour? Even her singles are hit or miss ... so I don't really understand. She is just one of those artists that are just ... there. You hear her song once in awhile on the radio but you dont really hear anything about her or her doing anything of significance.
