Why did you decide to work with and MAC Viva Glam ?
I've always been attracted to MAC , just for not being a mark of judgment , and I identify with that. Do not consider myself a critical person , and both I and the MAC , love to have fun and we are not ashamed of it. We're not afraid to talk about sex and want to encourage young people to take care of themselves . AIDS is something that can be avoided . I think people have to be aware of it .
This theme attracts you ?
I wanted to lend my voice to create something that could really make a difference . With the MAC Viva Glam , every cent of sales of lipstick go to the MAC AIDS Fund , which sends it directly to institutions caring for people affected by HIV worldwide . To date, the MAC AIDS Fund has raised over $ 315 million . That's a lot of lipsticks !
How do you suggest people start to educate , especially in countries that do not talk much about it ?
I think one of the best ways to raise awareness on any topic is to discuss the topic in social media. But it has to come from each individual 's efforts and care . What are you doing to protect others ? We can not think of HIV / AIDS as someone else's story . It can happen to any of us .
When you started the partnership with MAC imagined spokesman project would become ?
After the success of RiRi Woo , we started talking about doing Viva Glam . If this and other lipsticks that I launched with MAC were so successful , imagine how much we can help people with AIDS .
How is Viva Glam Rihanna ?
RiRi Woo was the first product created in partnership with MAC - is a matte red. Loved seeing the great success it did . I know that women love red lips and wanted to create something that tone , just a little updating . Thus, the lipstick Viva Glam Rihanna has a more glossy texture is not frosted as RiRi Woo .
