First off, I never said Ice T was "baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad" for saying Soulja Boy killed hip-hop. I just think it doesn't show a lot of class to bash someone for becoming successful and furthering their career and life.

I seriously do not see what point there is at all to Soulja Boy (the is no subtext, no hidden message, clearly no talent) and I personally think he's a pox on the hip hop game and needs to go the **** away.
Kanye? Is still high as a kite. Sure, if the title wasn't what it is maybe the discussion would differ but at the end of the day Kanye is still high and I still say Soulja Boy is an annoyance (one of many) on the music scene that is circling the drain.

You are entitled to your opinion, and, if you read my post in its entirety, you'd know that I also am not too fond of Soulja Boy, but I can respect the fact that he's my age, 1,000,000x more successful than I'll probably ever be, and was able to create a cultural phenomenon.
It just depends on what you think is the "true meaning of hip-hop." You can't fault Kanye for thinking that going from struggling to make it in life to becoming a household name is the true meaning of hip-hop.
