Dear sistrens, how many of you were aware that 'Blow' was scrapped and replaced by 'XO" because US radios complained about its racy lyrics.

According to this source below, those radios were the ones who "[proposed] Ryan Tedder ballad "XO" in its place".

But seriously, 'Blow' is not even that racy when compared to some others which I will abstained from mentioning for well-known reasons.

The real questions remains: Will 'Blow' never be released in the US? At least to US radios? As they seem to have blacklisted it and they seem to be big/influential ones evidently.

What, you don't think it's racy? I'm not saying it shouldn't have been released but I understand the reasoning.

blow is kind of explicit though. it's barely innuendo at times

i think it'll eventually get a radio release, but the song will be heavily edited. i'm not expecting to hear "daddy long stroke" or "tear this cherry out" on the radio.

Girl... Blow is racy but not racy enough to scrap it off of radio compared to other songs that are on the radio.

I think the real tea is the fact that they even suggested which song should replace Blow. I wonder if Mr. Tedder's team had anything to do with it- even though he claims he didn't hmm.

I'm thinking Timbaland and Tedder haven't resolved their differences yet, tbh

It's explicit but yeah after all they played blurred lines, S&M and....Partition.

I still think it could become a hit though. If the sales are good, radio would give it a major push. The video is the best from the album too.

If not, Flawless would be a good summer song.

Blow isn't that good...there's way more better single material on the album.
