Seeing as "Empire" is the second best song of 2014 thus far, I want it to smash. The Blake Shelton duet is inevitably going to get promo on The Voice IMO, but I hope she can sneak in an "Empire" performance (or someone on her team sings it!)

The album is amazing, honestly didn't believe Shakira would ever deliver such a nice piece of work again. (Yes... I just listened to it for the first time). There is not a single track I don't enjoy.

My least favorite is still an 8/10 though.

This is the album I've been wanting Shakira to put out since 2005, she got close with Sale El Sol but it wasn't as cohesive.

Oh hell no, first she should have hired a better translator to help her because yeah the lyrics kinda sum up what the song is about but they aren't as heartbreaking or emotional as the originals in Catalan... Maybe later I'll post an English translation

After Empire, I hope Dare is a single...it could hit radio at the same time as the World Cup.

I also really think Medicine should be a country single. It's such a great song and I think it could do really well.

Im going to say something controversial.. she needs to just release DARE as the next single like right now.. give it a HDL marketing promo blitz. Era smash. Oral fixation vol 2/HDL re-release incoming people.. forget the promo "Empire" move on to dare.. Its what the public wants.

HDL was released in Feb 2006. The world cup still used and the song would just not die. Dare could have that longevity.. plus the presence of it on the radio will intrigue people who would have not been so inclined to buy the album to begin with.

Dare def needs to be a single but I want Empire to have a chance because it's such an amazing song. When does it go for adds?


PS, random, but I watched the She Wolf video the other day for the first time in a while, and wow....I think that's one of the sexiest videos of the past like 10 years.
