Digimon literally is terrible, I tried to watch it as an adult and almost scratched my eyes out.
Pokemon: Kanto League was anything but predictable, Digimon was so predictable you may as well not even watch.
Well my opinion is based on the influence they had on my childhood, so you're probably right. As an adult, I don't know if I still love it, this is all I can say.
There is WAY too much filler in the 1st season of the Pokémon anime. Sure it had great moments but so many episodes were spent doing absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.
