So the music industry waited two years and then crafted itself after one of her songs that wasn't even the most successful of the era? Navy logic. That was when she broke through in a big way and I'll give her credit for that, but the most impactful things that era were Umbrella and her haircut.
I love her, I do, but don't give her credit for starting a movement when the album she released right when it picked up (Rated R) didn't have any dance pop singles.
