She sells pretty good for someone atrl likes to paint irreverent and a former Disney girl. I'm sure she's and other people are not expecting her to sell like the big girls, plus her first few years signed to HWR she was pretty much ignored and wasn't promoted like Selena and the other girl.
I agree with Ice Cream Skies, she promotes her ED and drug addictions more than her music. I think it also has to do with her music not being that great her first 2 albums is are amazing and that's what she should be doing, I know you're suppose to grow with your music, but she isn't
Nobody's going to actually say the REAL reason, but since I can spare the WPs, let me do it: Demi can't sell because she promotes her addiction & eating disorder more than her music.
And I can't say I blame her when she's releasing **** like Neon Lights.
That's not the real reason, people keep seeing her as a children artist
So? Still peaked higher. It sold 141,000 copies in its first week; Only if i had the full receipts now...

Christina Perri's A Thousand Years peaked at ****ing #31, is it a flop compared to Baby I, which peaked at #21? Do you think Demi gives a **** about peaks compared to sales (plus she has 3 top 10s and 5 top 20s, more than some others)
consdering Ariana's album is about to leave the Billboard chart, I don't think she will sell another 120k the era ended.
Considering it took Demi how long to barely pass Gold in the US, it really doesn't matter if its leaving it will outsell it in the end with not even half the effort of promotion
