If Selena actually leaves HWR she would still bring in the most money for them by a BIG margin.

Um streaming wasn't as huge back during demi's debut so it's unfair to compare it to sales in 2013 after reports of a major decline

Then why can Demi still cough platinum and multi-platinum songs? And without Disney's airplay?
Demi and Selena have had flop singles when Disney was "in its prime" it's no excuse.

So the decline now caused Demi's non-single back then that wasn't sent for radio-adds, wasn't promoted on TV and barely got any Youtube views to sell 1M effortlessly and Zendaya's single that was sent for radio adds and kept tussling on pop radio for months with MONTHS of iTunes discounts to finally push 1M copies? Nonsense.

Demi cannot "cough" a platinum single. She gets promo, tons of radio support and requesting via her fans. Let's not once again.
Additionally, Demi and Selena still have underperforming singles today so, I'm not sure where you're going with that piece of the argument. The point I made was that, you cannot compare Zendaya's debut to Demi, Selena or Miley's debut. Disney had WAY more influence back then. The movie and TV show ratings back that up in comparison to, today.
Zendaya did well with what she got in this day and age and to downplay that or compare it to Demi's numbers is just stupid. They are two different generations of Disney.
Note: It was Lovatics first in this thread comparing Zendaya to Demi even though the OP CLEARLY states, Demi doesn't count in this discussion.

Her only platinum album and I'm sure that was because of the Jonas Brothers

Good thing Zendaya went platinum in DIGITAL SALES, and not streaming.

Can Lovatics STOP now? OK, we get it, Demi is a global superstar, all of her singles are 2x Diamond, her album sold 8 million copies worldwide. Can you go away now?

Isn't the exact excuse you'd want to cover up for Zendaya's 50k-selling album and platinum single after all these discounts, a radio add and a 50M-streaming music video (with an additional acoustic music video) and some TV performances.

if both Selena & Demi leaves they will be in trouble! But their decline started when Hilary and then with Miley left... tbh
at Zendaya fans coming for Demi wings while she hasn't even sold 1/20 of what Demi sold and she isn't even know except for those 3 countries where Replay is doing decent numbers ....
not shade tbh, i don't even know her - here in Italy she isn't famous at all - while Demi is at least known.

We're not intending to show any of Demi's star-power as much as we're clearing up the false statements about Zendaya being "HWR's saver". But have a nice Friday.

They're attached to DISNEY people. Who do you think is getting SOME if not ALL the support for Frozen soundtrack? They'll do just fine.

Demi has:
4 1x gold singles
5 1x platinum singles
2 2x platinum singles
1 3x platinum single
1 4x platinum single

I'm fairly sure this thread started as a discussion on whether or not HWR is in trouble, not as a Selena vs Demi vs Zendaya thread.
Anyway, this went way off the rails. Closed.

They seem to survive with one or two moderate hits per year. I don't think this will make or break Hollywood Records.
