lol @ that twitter thread. Why must our bb girl always set herself up to get dragged by the pressed? It's frustrating, yet funny to watch people get so damn MAD.
Anyway, from what I could hear of that underwater recording, the live version of G.U.Y. sounds great. I love the drums.
I went in one of the biggest retailers for DVDs, CDs, books, games, etc. (Called FNAC but whatever).
ARTPOP was discounted too there ! 9.99€ instead of 14,99€, just like the discount on iTunes.
I don't know if it's everywhere like that, but damn, if it is, they're really not playing around this time
What % does digital sales make for total album sales in the US?
Cause everyones getting really excited about it rising there, but if it's anything like the UK where digital album sales are a really small part of the market it might mean the sales increase is gonna be really small
Let's play the game of trying to imagine Gaga's future! I'll go first!
G.U.Y peaks at #12 on the BB Hot 100 and reaches top 10 in 6 other countries. Despite not being a big hit, the song has some success. Gaga releases Gypsy in May as the last single of the ARTPOP era, with the video dropping on mid-June. The single is the most succesful single of the ARTPOP era since Applause, peaking at #6 on the BB Hot 100 and reaching #1 on some few countries. The success is partly due to the outstanding music video, a fairytale created in collaboration with Disney which incorporates manually painted backgrounds into the scene. After this Gaga continues her succesful tour, and at some point in November she announces that ARTPOP volumen 2 will not happen, due to another new project. She releases her film with Terry Richardson in early 2015. In the premiere she announces that her performance in space will happen in August. After some months of silence in June she announces that her new single "Private in Public" will be premiered in space. The performance happens on August 3rd and quickly becomes one of Gaga's most iconic moments. The song recieves acclaim from the critics, for its innovative sound which mixes dance with psychedelic rock from the 60s. The video is also well recieved by the general public and the critics, and the song reaches #1 in BB Hot 100 and in many other countries. The album is announced for September 13rd, and titled: "REPUBLIC". A sentence is used for promotion of the album: "When The Fame is gone and the Monster comes out, when being Born This Way is not enough for the crowd to listen to your ARTPOP, you have to take the next step. **** your crowns and thrones, this is my REPUBLIC". The hype around the album is huge, with critics praising the album before the release. The tracklist and cover are announced before the MTV VMAs, where Gaga performs her lead single.

The album recieves universal acclaim from the critics, for the diversity of the music, that goes from psycho-dance (Private in Public, ULTRA) to power ballads (Home), from opera meets electropop (Jeanne D'Arc) to reggae (Mermaid of Dreams), from typical Gaga anthems (Ramadan, Holy Hegemony) to urban (Golden Killer), from alternative/experimental rock (Nocturne Creature, Sanctuary), from traditional japanese music meets electronica (Tokyo芸者) to crazy synthpop numbers (Element of Crime, S.S.S). The second single is Home, released in October. The haunting ballad reaches #2 on BBHot 100 and #1 in many countries around the world. The piano performance in the EMAs is one of the highlights of the night. Holy Hegemony (feat. Madonna) is the third single, released in January 2016. The controversial music video goes viral, and the song reaches #1 all over the world, including the US. On 2016 Grammys REPUBLIC wins Album of the Year and Private in Public wins Record of the Year, among other awards. She performs Holy Hegemony with Madonna that night. The REPUBLIC Ball begins in February, with the last date being in November. Element of Crime, the fourth single, is released in April 2016. It reaches #8 on BB Hot 100 and has a similar chart-life in the rest of the world. Sanctuary is chosen as the last single, released in June 2016. The alternative rock number peaks at #3 on BB Hot 100 and meets special success in the UK and Germany. The music video is acclaimed for its haunting story of an angel who falls to earth and decides to find someone who loves her and understands her despite her having only one wing. After the success of the era Gaga goes on a media blackout for a while she prepares the new album. In March 2017 Gaga announces Bad Future as the title of both the single and the album, released on April and May respectively. The album is a concept album, and tells the story of Janälla, who lives in planet Ëaggra, where metal covers everything and life is miserable. The single, a crazy trance/rock number, recieves mixed reviews from the critics, and meets poor chart performance, peaking at #16 on BB Hot 100. Despite recieving good reviews from critics, commercially the album is a big failure. Debuting at #5 on BB Hot 100 and not topping the charts of any country. The sound of the album is a mixture of trance, metal and rock that has a poor acceptations among tha fans and the public. It also becomes a financial disaster for Interscope, as the music videos for the four singles (each of them being a chapter in the story) were all filmed before the album release date, with the highest budget for a Gaga video ever. The next single, GUILTY, peaks at #56 on BB. The next and last two singles, Spider and Ëaggra, peak at #78 and #85 respectively. The tour for the era is also cancelled, and after many disputes with Interscope and the managers, Gaga goes on hiatus in December 2017. But, in 2019...
