If Apple did it, it would be preferable really. But even then, for example, SNSD's Japanese releases (the ones worth caring about) go on at random times on random iTunes stores so who is to say it wouldn't be different with a streaming service?

Exactly! It would take very little to just get all their act's discographies uploaded onto the servers and if a price is required to undertake this, I am sure it wouldn't be so great as to pose a problem for the labels.
