Bit of a tangent that I'm probably gonna catch flack for, but...
I actually really want Nic to make music like this. It's hip hop done perfectly; it's catchy and not abrasive, but witty and makes a point. It also blends influences from different genres together, which I've always thought is such a genius approach to music. For example, Missy Elliott was an expert at merging elements of different genres and time periods together and it always sounded great.
There's a way to brag and be cocky while still being relatable and approachable. I don't need an album full of Did It On'ems and Lookin Asses. Sometimes it feels like there's an element of fluidity missing from her music and that's what I think The Man does so well.
My whole body shivers thinking about Nicki's new music. It can be anything. I'd be so happy if there is a song like 'The Man', especially with the gospel influence at the end. The music you describe would be great as well.
It's so scary though, because we literally have no idea what her new music will be like.
If some of Nicki's scenes are cut in order for TOW to get a PG-13 High School premiering on American Idol teas.
This always happens. Remember how many times Starships was pushed back because they had to re-edit it? Imagine what the original video must have looked like.
Could be a banger if her flow wasn't so boring. She's been getting better over the years but you wouldn't know it from this song. For example, this is from last year and I think it's good:

For all we know they'll be a Roman resurrection, but that's the thing we don't know anything.
