I used to love Dexter. Many people who watched the show are divided on the quality of the seasons. Some people say it jumped the shark after Rita's death in Season 4, some people say Season 6 ruined the show, but almost everyone agrees that Season 8 was absolutely terrible. A big portion of the blame lies on the fact that the entire writing staff changed after Season 4, and you can visibly see the change in quality after that.
I'm one of those rare fans who enjoyed all 7 seasons but it pains me to admit that after that awful last season, the show has been irreparably tarnished. My question is, as time goes on, do you think Dexter will be remembered by the public as a good show, or has the last few seasons ruined its reputation forever?
I liked Season 7 and 8, Season 5-6 was pretty much filler. All in all it should've been 7 seasons. They dragged it out with filler. I knew Dexter wasn't gonna have a happy ending and I guess I can't ask more of what it delivered at the end.
Sweetie, Rita died at least 5 years ago. The show has already ended. Its not spoilers anymore. Its no one's fault but your own that you haven't watched it before clicking this thread.
