So my exams have finally ended and I can talk to you all as much as I want. I have been aware what has been going on with Taylor and there's nothing much except that she is going to feature on a Broadway Musical Soundtrack. Any other big news?

PS: Can you all suggest me a great pop or anything like Red or Speak Now album. I mean not the girly albums but like Night Visions, Beyonce, Speak Now or anything I would like?

They should make it either fan-voted or industry voted. This hybrid voting is just annoying. What does is actually represent? The industry votes or the popular vote? It's just a mish-mash such that we don't even know the respective weighting of each factor - is the industry vote count for 90%? or 10%? or 55%? I suspect the hybrid vote is just in practice an industry vote with just a public vote in order to drive up media buzz/publicity and to generate money from public votes.


Taylor should win it. I expect Luke to win it though. Taylor should quite clearly win the ACM EOTY considering that a) she will easily get more public votes than any other contender and b) she had the biggest tour in 2013 out of all the contenders and it is not even close. I expect Luke Bryan to win because the industry will pretend that he deserves it due to selling the most records in 2013, even though Taylor did not win it last year despite having the most records sold in 2012.

I agree. As I have told before, the country music association doesn't count her has country anymore and thus the result can be seen as how Taylor was not given Entertainer Of The Year in the recent years when she is actually more deserving than the others who are getting it and are 'supposedly' more country than her. They can count Kelly Clarkson as country but when Taylor gets her most acclaimed album with mixing some other genres with country, she is disband.

I don' think the votes count. Until and unless, the association doesn't wants her to win, she won't get that award even if the voting is ratio is 99999:1:1:1:1.

Taylor is trying ti return to country or else she wouldn't have made that 'ACM Consideration' video. Maybe that indicates her next album will be more country. She is also aware that country music association is not accepting her and maybe she wants to return to it.

George Strait will win EOTY guys. Puke Bryan has no shot.

This is the ACMs though, NOT the CMAs. The Association of Country Music does count Taylor as Country. She is nominated for the EOTY again. If the ACM did not think Taylor was Country then she would not have been nominated for the EOTY and 3 other ACM awards.

Obviously the CMAs still recognise Taylor considering she got 4 CMAs last time around including the Pinnacle Award. The ACAs also gave Taylor a special Worldwide artist award and I expect the ACMs to follow suit to recognise Taylor's global impact.

Taylor's influence and legacy isn't relied on controversies, crazy outfits or the bling. She's influential on the music itself. She basically owns the acoustic love/breakup song. Which is such a general and common thing to own. Shakiras love songs were compared to Taylor's. Bridgit Mendler's Forgot to laugh was said to "Give Taylor a run for her money". When Kesha announced she was writing about a breakup she went through people called it "an angrier Taylor Swift". Cassadee Pope said she wanted to be a less country TS. Everytime a young female enters the country scene she's compared to Taylor's beginnings in some way. Either she's the next Taylor, the anti Taylor, certain songs are Taylor-esque.

I rather her be known for that then some media controversy/performance etc.
