Katy has control over her career, but wow how dare she leave some aspects of her career to people that know what they're doing.

it's like looking down on students when they ask a teacher for help on a problem cause they didn't figure it out themselves. everyone needs help, and if you refuse to humble yourself & accept it then you'll end up flat on your face - i'm sure you can find a recent example for this.

Because nobody really cares about her as a person. She's never really been some A list phenomenon in everyone's faces, so people can't really get annoyed by her presence.

the "children's artist xD!" quips have been done & overused for years now. if Katy was a teen act she would be selling like one. Teen acts don't get 4 5x platinum singles, teen acts don't get 9 #1's and teen acts most definitely don't keep their careers going strong for 6 years.

What? Her music barely changed for years and when it finally did she regressed and started acting less mature. She didn't need to change, she had a brand, and it hurt her brand in the end.

Even tough her songs are pretty big, the ARTIST Katy Perry is not really remarkable, she has no strong opinions or seeks for attention like her peers, a lot of people likes her songs and doesn't even know who's singing it.

Katy took a complete year off radio inbetween Teenage Dream & PRISM. A year is a long time in the pop music world.

She was getting overexposed after Wide Awake but she knew she had to back off a bit before PRISM & Roar, specifically.

She's not interesting enough to be constantly followed, that's why she's not overexposed.
