And I don't get why the monsters are overacting. He just knew he was making any money anymore. Should he continue his "friendship", even if he knew he was going to lose money? Or he could just leave before the decline starts happening. That's why in the real world, it's called a partnership, and if you guys are not old enough to understand that, this is why you do not mix friends with business. However, it looks like Akon is professional about it (which I admire) because he did not leave her maliciously, and I'm sure they are on good terms.

Quite right, but he is foremost a musician or was a musician and I'm sure he made about $ 20 mil with her.
So I expect something more of an artist response (wanted to move in another direction)
But he decides to answer in a way the Suits does. And do we like them? After Kelly Clarkson or them stalling many albums from artists we love.
