California school supports male teacher who will return as a woman after spring break

• After spring break, Yosemite High School teacher Gary Sconce will return to teach as Karen Adell Scot
• Scot, 56, tried variety of activities to convince herself of her masculinity, including college football, joining the military, becoming a sheriff's deputy, and teaching martial arts
• Scot says she knew she was a girl from a very young age
• Scot has received multiple teaching awards and accolades for her work
• Yosemite High School's principal said the school is working to make sure change goes smoothly and that inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated
• Scot is currently getting a divorce and will change her name legally to Karen once it is finalized

Honestly she shouldn't have returned as a female until the new school year. People will be so distracted by it and I feel like it'll negatively affect the student's last 2 months of school.

What a brave woman for doing this and being true to herself. trans people are so discriminated against in our society

I'm sorry, but I'm of the firm belief that God made you a certain way for a reason and you shouldn't be ashamed. I think people who undergo sex changes are insecure and incontent with God's greatest gift (life) and are disrespectful. But he (yes he) can do whatever makes him happy.

I just hope he has thick skin because judgement from kids can be really tough.
